This upgrade has no effect on the PiCPro programming software package that you received with your original PiCPro for Windows V11.0 two CD distribution. ========================= CHANGES IN VERSION 11.0.2 ========================= The following changes to 11.0.1 are part of PiCPro for Windows Applications CD version 11.0.2. 1) The set of Ethernet ASFBs and its two examples have been added, as well as its new Ethernet ASFB manual in PDF format. These new ASFBs are easy to use function blocks for Ethernet applications. They support exchanging data, transferring a file or sending an email over Ethernet. 2) The set of SERCOS Motion ASFBs and its MMC example have been added to the set of Motion ASFBs. These new ASFBs are replacements for several of the other Motion ASFBs when a SERCOS drive is used rather than an analog controlled drive. The individual S_xxxx ASFBs replace M_CLOS1, M_ERROR, M_FHOME and M_LHOME for a SERCOS axis. 3) Several General ASFBs were removed as they supported obsolete operator interface hardware. The removed ASFBs supported the PiC MicroTerm (G_UTERM), the PiC MicroTerm II (G_UTERM2), and the PiC Pendant (G_PPEND). The examples for these ASFBs were also removed. The General ASFB manual has been updated accordingly. 4) A Motion ASFB was removed as it supported obsolete drive hardware. The removed ASFB supported communications with the Centurion DS drives (M_DSCOM). The example for this ASFB was also removed (M_DSCMEX). The Motion ASFB manual has been updated accordingly - both for this removal and for the additional SERCOS ASFBs. 5) The M_CLOSx ASFBs were modified to ensure that the delay has elapsed before the position loops are closed. The removal of the ASFB enable will cancel both the timer delay and the loop closure. To ensure that the position loops are not closed due to an e-stop during the time delay, the ASFB enable input should be changed (this input is further described in the Motion ASFB manual). The MMC examples were modified to include this M_CLOS1 change. 6) The M_PRF1MV and M_PRF2MV ASFBs were modified with a fix for the check of the last dwell segment when the master scaling factor was not an integer value. 7) The G_CONFIG ASFB was modified to remove the trailing , off the serial port configuration string. 8) The README_APP.TXT has been enhanced to include descriptions of all the MMC application example programs. It also contains directions on how to handle the transition of existing applications from 11.0.1 to 11.0.2. This README.TXT file is not the same as the README_APP.TXT file being provided with the upgrade. 9) DSMPro version 1.60 has been added to the Applications package. It supports drive configuration, tuning and troubleshooting of the Centurion line of servo drives. It has a separate installation procedure from the PiCPro for Windows Applications Version 11.0.2 software. SETUP.EXE provides a prompt for which package to install. If you require any of the ASFBs that support obsolete hardware and you do not have a previous copy of the ASFB, please contact PiC technical support as directed above.
